My passion is to start companies and create products that empower people to improve their mental and physical health. I leverage a consumer-centered, technology-powered approach to make it easier for people to access the tools, data, and expertise they need to improve their quality of life.

I’ve been the founder and/or CEO of (3) digital health start-ups. Collectively these start-ups have helped thousands of people understand and improve their sleep health, increase blood pressure control and hear better on their terms.

They’ve been recognized with awards from Rock Health, The Edison Awards, CNBC Upstart 100, IoT Breakthrough Awards and SXSW Innovation Awards.

I’ve raised over $50M of private capital from leading Silicon Valley venture firms, recruited hundreds of people and led companies through rapid growth and times of transition.

Currently, I’m the CEO of Aktiia, a data-driven healthcare company that has developed, validated and received regulatory clearance for the first automated, 24/7 blood pressure monitor. Prior to Aktiia I was the founder and CEO of Beddr, a sleep health technology company that has developed the first, integrated, digital approach to understanding and improving sleep.

Before that I was the founding CEO of Soundhawk, a wearable technology company reimagining the hearing aid as a connected consumer experience that can be personalized by the individual without the need for a clinical expert.

Earlier in my career, I was part of the Emerging Technologies team at Cisco Systems where I led product marketing for Cisco’s IP Telephony, telepresence and consumer businesses.

I’m the holder of (5) patents and received degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
